Who we are: Sourced North East is a trading name of Dove Design Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company no. 14814259. Registered office: 6 Atkinson Grove, Shotton Colliery, Durham DH6 2YA. We run northeastsourced.co.uk and are the controller of your personal data. Contact: hello@northeastsourced.co.uk.

ICO registration: Dove Design Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number ZC276765. This registration covers Sourced North East.

What we collect: your email address, plus the date you subscribed and confirmed. Why: to send the weekly (Monday) "What's open this week" email. Lawful basis: your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), confirmed by double opt-in. Processor: Resend (email delivery), which may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US data bridge. Retention: until you unsubscribe. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 30 days.

Business contacts we email

We sometimes email organisations, such as business support bodies, councils, accountants and companies that may want to sponsor or partner with us. What we use: business contact details (name, job role, work email) that the organisation publishes, for example on its website. Why: to introduce Sourced North East and offer partnership or sponsorship. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in promoting the service to relevant businesses (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We only send unsolicited marketing emails to companies and similar organisations, not to sole traders or partnerships without consent. Your right to object: reply STOP or email us and we will stop at once and add your address to a suppression list so you are not contacted again. Retention: prospect details are kept for up to 12 months after last contact. Suppression entries are kept for as long as needed to respect your objection.

Enquiries, sponsors and suppliers

If you email us, or become a sponsor or listed supplier, we use your details to reply, provide the service, invoice and keep accounting records (contract and legal obligation). Accounting records are kept for 6 years.

Sponsor payments

If you book a sponsorship online, payment is taken by Stripe (Stripe Payments UK, Ltd.) on Stripe's own secure checkout page. Stripe acts as our payment processor for Dove Design Ltd (trading as Sourced North East), and also as an independent controller for its own fraud-prevention and legal purposes (see Stripe's privacy policy). What's collected: your business name, your billing name, email and address, any VAT or tax ID you choose to give, and card details. We never see or store your full card details. Stripe may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. Why: to take and manage your monthly sponsorship payments (contract) and keep accounting records (legal obligation, kept for 6 years).

Website and hosting

The website doesn't use cookies, and we don't use any analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Processor: Cloudflare, Inc., our hosting provider, processes standard server logs, such as IP addresses, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in running a secure website (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Cloudflare is a US company and may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards such as the UK-US data bridge or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

Your rights

You can withdraw consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in every email. You can also ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@northeastsourced.co.uk. We don't make automated decisions about you. You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
